Gregor Jamroski - Transience
For approximately 7 years I used almost exclusively what is considered low fi or 'toy' camera: the original Diana 151. The results of this camera produced dreamy, if not somewhat melancholic photos. My 1st Diana 151 was used when I was in elementary school. My teacher sent home a permission slip to student's parents requesting 50 cents for a camera and a roll of film to introduce us students to photography. Back in the 1960s, the camera was often a give away at gas stations when getting a full tank of gas -among other giveaways. Additionally there were branded variations such as Shakey's Pizza and others. While that camera is long gone I have managed to procure several copies of the camera from yard sales and auction sites. I continue to use this camera today.
