Description
These beautiful lidded bowls are approximately 4.25" x 4.5". In Japan, they are typically used for chawammushi, which is a custard based soup, served hot. However, you can use them for just about any side dish or sweet that you want to be kept hot or cool. The lid also protects the food from insects and dust! As a collectible these from the Kouraku Kiln Studio in Arita, Japan. While these not antique they are vintage. The date is unknown and they were made 20 - 50 years ago. Condition: As new.

Can these be washed in a dish washer?

Yes, but excessive heat does tend to makes small cracks in the glazes from expansion and contraction due to temperature changes。If you want to use them instead of collect them I recommend hand washing. ありがとうございました!

Photography awards and competitions usually don't amount to much except taking your money for an award that means little. If anyone knows of competitions or awards that have some prestige, please reply to this post.
