Description
Ceramics was my major at university. At that time "Funk Art" was the popular theme in ceramics. Non-functional and in my opinion, then and now, uninteresting. I failed my courses miserably because I preferred functional works. Since coming to Japan I have been working with a Master Potter in traditional Japanese ceramics. While my works strays somewhat from tradition I create "wabi-sabi" ceramics that range from tea sets to bowls specific to different Japanese cuisine.

Life seems to get in the way of things - particularly ambitions and aspirations. However, I'm aiming to get out and about more and to add more content and put some of it up for sale. Who knows....2020 could be a great year for us all.

Does anyone know about Urushi lacquer? I am using it but have heard a lot about sensitivity and rashes as it is related to poison ivy.
